At the annual celebration 2024 of the University of Stuttgart, a Bürkert University Award for special scientific achievements went to Maximilian Hörl M.Sc. (Institute for Applied Analysis and Numerical Simulation IANS). This was in recognition of his Master's thesis entitled “ Flow in Porous Media with Fractures of Varying Aperture”. The master's thesis was supervised by Prof. Christian Rohde.
